The «Dansa de la Mort»
The «Dansa de Mort» (The Dance of the Death) is an ancient ritual which has remained alive until our days in the Easter procession of the North-Catalan village of Verges, near Girona. An absolute relic that has survived thanks to the tradition, and that has been performed since the Middle Ages until today without a break and with all its spirit.
This exhibition shows the preparation, the items used and eventually some details of the dance on its course until the finish point, where the Death surrenders and curtsies at the tabernacle of Christ.
